Hi I am Adam the Founder of this business and the passionate driving force behind our living roofs. As an Environmental Scientist I decided one way to make a difference to the UK and to the planet was to enable home owners, businesses and building designers to have access to the best UK grown sedum and wildflower mixes.
I work directly with those growing ensuring that all plants destined for a roof are well established, free from pests and issues and ready to be productive reducing CO2, reducing heat island effects, providing a food source and shelter for pollinators and protecting the buildings roof structure prolonging its life.
More than this I think Biophilic Design is about connecting residents and workers to a natural environment, especially in urban areas. 99% of our history as humans has been evolving with, working with, and connecting to nature.
So it is in our DNA to connect with natural environments.

Pitched Roof Sedum Install Newbury
The Problem
Our customer had trouble finding a suitable contractor to install a module green roof system on the 19 degree 145 m2 pitched roof. There was never a confidence there that the green roof could be installed correctly.
Most contractors lacked the experience to confidently put forward a solution on this expensive new build home.
Our Solution
We outlined a sedum module system so the substrate was at nor risk of sliding off the roof. It also means better water reservoirs to hold some water to keep the sedum healthy.
We installed invisible retaining bars to ensure the modules stay secure and don’t move. The outcome is an amazing green roof.
